Diego's Cafe
Giving it the beans.
For all you Hereford types near, far and wide make sure you visit this great family run cafe. Recently opened late 2011 and the word needs to be spread. Started off as a best kept secret type of place but now getting the recogntion it deserves.
I call in on most of my days off. It's become a very enjoyable part of my routine. Kenny, Krystal and the rest of the staff are friendly but never intrusive. Kenny will give you the full run down on the coffee. Beans, temperature, gasses, everything really. Well beyond me but it looks and tastes great.
It must be a decent joint because myself, LeTissier, and Mr Jolly always go that extra walking distance to get there. It's in a hidden little spot down Bridge street. Getting busy each time we visit which is great news. Going to be a fine little meet up spot in the summer for all of us down here in the Shire.
Chilli is ace and Pia (high maintenance when it comes to grub) says the fish and chips is the tops. (also delicious home made tartare sauce apparently)
Unfortunately I can no longer comment on the quality of the cakes as I am on a fitness tip (ahem) . I do recall the blueberry muffin hit a spot a while back though obviously....

Easily the best flat white I've ever had, the Winter Hoard bean is a particular favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more.
ReplyDeleteAlan: It's a shame that next time we go, you won't be able to indulge in one of those delightful muffins, due to your punishing fitness regime. Ho!
