Pocketeers.
Used to love these little gems.
Started to collect them a while ago but only in the original boxes. (You know me so well)
They sold them at that little shop opposite what was once called Steels and Westgate.
I first met Karon when she was working there. I must have been 12 or 13.
She was the first to comment on what she still describes as my Rupert Bear trousers.
Lovely slacks they were. To be fair I didn't have much of say back then so I had to wear whatever my mum brought home.
She worked at a local sports and leather store called Ellis & sons. I was able to ingratiate myself with the bigger boys and avoid being duffed up by the casuals by giving out various freebies.
I became a face after giving out a cardboard box full of Le Coq Sportif badges in the playground.
Happy days.
I've digressed.
Here's some of my collection.
Rally: I think this was my first.
(although it may have been Fruit Machine - doesn't really matter does it?)
I was hypnotised by this amazing voodoo driving game which I later found out was powered by magnets.
Swizz.

Swizz.
Gobble. The green central character looks a bit sad doesn't he?.
Let's not sink to base levels of jokes about it though.
45p. Bargain.
I'm looking for a few more but Golf and Crossbow are the ones giving me the most grief.
Keep your eyes open please.
