Musical.

Musical Science

1. Norman Nodge; 'Berghain 06'. - Hypnotic, downbeat techno from a top lawyer. (Sam - You'll love this).
I would like to get to this Berlin club one day but don't think they'd let me in.
(Google Berghain door policy for further details)

2. Anna Meredith: 'Black Prince Fury' 12" E.P. - Knocked from the top spot by Norman but still on full rotation.

3. Tindersticks - 'San Sebastian Live 2012'. -  My favourite pop group. I do love a limited edition and the Nottingham boys never disappoint.

4: Seahawks: 'Aquadisco'. - Lush, dreamy, spacey electronicalism. Absolutely lovely stuff. Great band.

5: 'A Winged Victory For The Sullen'. - A thoroughbred recommendation from My Mate Mr Mitchell.

6. David Byrne & St. Vincent: "Love This giant". - He's back. Strange stuff. takes a little while to get on the wavelength but worth it. A grower. Good artwork/packaging too.

7. Neu: 'Neu 2.' - No expert on this, not even any knowledge for that matter but it's good stuff.

8. Peter Gabriel: 'So'. - This newly remastered C.D sounds spot on. This was the disc I used to auction my hi fi. Happy memories. Fresh as ever.

9. 'Agitation Free: 'Looping 4'. - Thanks Rich; the grand poobah of all things Germanic and progressive. Expert CD compilation moves.

10. Apparat: 'Ash/Black Veil'. - A real gem. One of the stand out tracks from Mr White's latest C.D compilation.

  1. Krautrock fact: The keyboardist from Agitation Free ended up so destitute he sank so low as to do the music for the appalling 1988 remake of horror flick The Blob. 'Horror' indeed. I saw it.
I wouldn't know what Mr. Byrne is up to these days, I suspect it to be rather quirky though. There was an interesting article in the Grauniad the other week, but you've probably seen this already, being of an arty persuasion.
Me? I'm off to listen to my 'Songs And Rhythms Of Morocco' LP, all the classics are there...fancy it?
