The one night whilst in Garda, myself and Annie were sat down by the port listening to the water hitting the stone walls. It transported me back to my hometown and of nights sat on the Barbican, having a chat and listening to the sea breaking against the old harbour walls. It was quite pleasant to be thrown so far back in my life by just a little water and a little less light. Nicer still to not hear the noise of a car (my most hated noise when it comes to relaxing) or be surrounded by quite so many people (another bane I find impossible to adjust to).
ReplyDeleteNot sure why I mentioned this. I think it's the fourth picture down that reminds me so much of Plymouth and overlooking the dockyard/Devonport from the Cornish side. Mount Edgecome to be exact. Lovely, lovely place. Very peaceful. Alas, only a Whippy or Cornetto is on offer, unless a cream tea is your thing.
