Bogshed.

Just bought some of those vinyl LP frames.

From now one each week I shall be placing a favourite album either for the music, cover or perhaps both in a frame.

It will then go display.
For one week.
In the Dakota suite.

I will then explain what each record means.

I spoil you, I really do.

Week 1

'Let Them Eat Bogshed' EP by Bogshed.

12". Vinyl Drip records.

1985.

I was 17 when I bought this from Outback music.

For some reason I have always loved this EP.
The cover is just the job.
Fills the entire 12" cover with, in my opinion, funny, brilliant artwork.
Mike Bryson I salute you.

The music you ask?
I will always treasure 'Fat Lad Exam Failure' and 'Panties Please" as genuinely great shambolic tunes of the highest calibre.

Well done Bogshed.
Played many times in the last, wheezing breathes of my  teenage years.

Nothing more to add.

Call by next sunday for the second in this unmissable series.

Lovely stuff.

Proudly displayed.

  2. A classic. One of my favourites. Was listening to it the other day actually.
Their other covers are great too. In particular the Brutal lp, which has the band in puppet form, in Bryson's brilliant style.

    1. To be fair Matt I think a lot of your art is right up there with the best. Feel free to send some over and I'll post it up.
